Why Hating Yourself Is the BEST Motivation
Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to success
Dear loved ones,
Last week I served you up a hot slice of what-for when I revealed that I’d be revealing my 12-step program to success in the coming weeks. Well, you made it to Step 1 of the 12 Steps to Self-Help Yourself Out of Self-Serving Yourself Self-Sabotage.
Let’s get right into it:
Step 1: Self-hatred for self-motivation
What is it?
There is a famous old and dead guy named Epictetus, and he’s got life-changing quotes floating around out there. He once said:
“If anyone tells you that a certain person speaks ill of you, do not make excuses about what is said of you but answer, "He was ignorant of my other faults, else he would not have mentioned these alone.”― Epictetus, a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away
Mmm, tasty, right?
Here’s another banger:
“If you want to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid.”― Epictetus, same guy as above
Can you sense how Epictetus in these quotes embodies our very first step to success? The guy clearly hates himself, and boy, does he have it figured out.
That’s right, it seems he was one of the first proponents of the principle behind our first step. That step of course being, “self-hatred for self-motivation.”
Here’s the good news.
You can learn the power of self-hatred.
How can we use this information to jumpstart ourselves forward into success?
How can I use it?
There are a few simple substeps that you can follow to become master of your destiny and wield self-hatred for self-motivation.
In our two quotes above, you learn to:
Tell others loudly and proudly about all of your faults, and explain in detail why these faults lead to your self-hatred
Embrace the feeling that comes from being thought of as foolish and stupid by those around you. This will not only make it easier for you to fuel hatred for yourself, but as Epictetus says, it’s actually the only way to improve.
But! Be careful, because there is one last thing you need to be aware of. If you become a paid subscriber, you’ll get probably instant access to the rest of this article and the very important caution I have for you.

Here’s the tricky part
There’s a caution I must mention. Be careful never to allow the hatred that others have for you to motivate you. No, this hatred must come only from within. Anything external to you is meaningless.
Check out what our boy Epictetus has to say on this:
“Any person capable of angering you becomes your master;
he can anger you only when you permit yourself to be disturbed by him.”― Epictetus, old guy, wise guy, dead guy
Did you catch that? If you allow yourself to start being influenced (or worse yet, motivated) by the hatred that others have for you, they’ve become your master. And that’s trash. Your only master is you.
And THAT is why you must hate yourself. Because only when self-hatred motivates everything you do, will you become your own master.
So, to you, my dear Christmas Wilson Miracles, anger yourself, permit yourself to be disturbed by yourself, and when you do, you’ve achieved the ultimate glory of mastering this beautiful first step to success.
I’m still tickled, aren’t you? Stay tuned for my future article, Step 2: Pretend you found your purpose.
Merry,
Christmas Wilson
